Say hello to our newest friends!
Unless you’re following us on Twitter, you might not be aware of the fantastic charities that have registered with Work for Good in the last couple of months. You can view all of our registered charities here. All of our charities would be delighted to have your support so why not take the time to add one or more of them to your profile (indicating your intention to support them soon) or even better, load a Work for Good project.
If a charity that you would like to support is not yet listed, please nominate them so that we get in touch and add them to the platform!
British Heart Foundation
“We are the UK’s number one heart charity and through 50 years of funding cutting edge research we have already made a big difference to people’s lives. Our mission is to win the fight against cardiovascular disease and our vision is a world in which people do not die prematurely or suffer from cardiovascular disease.”
Water Aid
“When a community gets clean, safe water, it’s the start of something truly life-changing. Right now, some of the world’s poorest people don’t have access to safe water to drink, decent toilets or hygiene. Without these basics, overcoming poverty is just a dream. When you help us to dig a well or install a tap stand, everything changes.”
Sue Ryder
“We provide incredible hospice and neurological care for people facing a frightening, life-changing diagnosis. It’s not just expert medical care we provide. It’s the emotional support and practical things we take care of too. We do whatever we can to be a safety net for our patients and their loved ones at the most difficult time of their lives.”
Ovarian Cancer Action
“Ovarian Cancer Action is the UK’s ovarian cancer research charity. We are on a mission to take action against the UK’s most deadly gynaecological disease that kills another woman every two hours. We fight for a world without ovarian cancer. By funding research that saves lives, by campaigning and championing this undeserved cause, and by spreading awareness of the disease.”
Plan International UK
“Plan International UK recognises the power and potential of every single child and strives to advance children’s rights and equality for girls all over the world. We work alongside children, young people, supporters and partners to tackle the root causes of the challenges facing girls and all vulnerable children.”
In Kind Direct
“We distribute products donated by companies to charities, social enterprises and not-for-profits. We have distributed £165 million of products to 8,300 charities. They get what they need for their operations and to give to the people they help. Saving on average over £7,000 p/a, each organisation can then use their scarce resources on their core services.”
