1. The Turing Trust
Is your business in IT or technology? The Turing Trust could be the perfect recipient for your charity donations.
Founded by James Turing (Alan Turing’s great nephew) in 2009, The Turing Trust support students in Ghana and Malawi by helping them become IT literate — which hugely improves their opportunities for employment after school.
To date, they’ve sent more than 4,200 computers to African schools, supported 76 schools in Ghana and 39 schools in Malawi, and helped more than 41,000 African students to become IT literate.

2. Mobile Education Partnerships
Want to help some of the most disadvantaged children in the world?
MEP is an award winning educational charity working in Myanmar. Set up by British and Burmese practicing teachers, over the last 20 years they’ve provided sustainable teacher training in marginalised and hard to reach communities, bringing education to some of the most disadvantaged children in Myanmar.
Since 2011, they have been directly involved in the training of almost 2,000 teachers, taking 350 teachers through Cambridge teaching exams and producing text books which have now been used by up to 18,000 children.

3. Pebbles Project
Want to support kids every single step of the way?
The Pebbles Project are based in South Africa, providing long term education and health interventions to help children from before birth, all the way to entering the world of work.
They offer long-term support for children and parents, starting with their Baby Boxes for expecting mothers, support through pre-school and early child development programmes which prepare kids for school, and continuing through their after-school programmes until kids are ready to enter the world of work.

4. Life Skills Education Charity
Want to help UK kids get ready for life in the real world?
Life Skills Education Charity have been developing and delivering their drug and life skills education resources for 21 years in the UK.
They cover topics from cyberbullying and mental health to alcohol, tobacco, drugs and knife crime. Studies have shown that kids who receive life skills education workshops go on to have improved awareness, confidence, and educational outcomes in the future.

5. Araba Scott Children’s Foundation
Does your business have ties to the Caribbean? This educational charity is based in St Thomas.
The Araba Scott Children’s Foundation’s mission is to bring children of all circumstances living in St. Thomas together with professional artists, teachers and therapists, to create, learn, play and embrace their culture, increasing well-being, tolerance, and helping give children a positive view of themselves.
Working with the foundation, the children’s self-confidence grows and literacy rates improve, regardless of ability or disability. Children of all backgrounds treat each other with dignity and respect, as a result of learning better conflict resolution and tolerance for one another as modelled by the ASCF staff and volunteers.

6. Lightyear Foundation
Want to help UK children with disabilities get into science?
Lightyear Foundation aims to make science education as accessible as possible for children in the UK, so that all children have the opportunity to explore, get excited by, and gain a deeper understanding of science.
They focus their efforts on disabled children, with programmes like Sensory Science; an immersive and creative experience that uses entertaining science experiments to inspire disabled children to learn science, all while providing practical knowledge to improve their lives.
They also have a Role Model programme to showcase inspiring disabled people who work in science, and they run Work Inspiration Days, to give disabled young people a taste of what the STEMM industry has to offer.

7. Mary’s Meals
Is your business based in food or nutrition? You could team up with Mary’s Meals and help feed schoolkids across the world.
Mary’s Meals have a simple vision — that every child should receive one daily meal in their place of education. Starting with a single donation of food and supplies during the Bosnian War in 1992, the Scotland-based charity focuses on making sure that even in the poorest areas of the world, chronically hungry children are able to attend school and get a nutritious meal to keep them healthy, energised and able to learn.
Mary’s Meals are now feeding 1,504,471 of the world’s poorest children every day they attend school. Their simple but effective approach has gathered momentum and today they serve children across Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and South America.
