Celebrate Earth Day by Giving Back Through Your Business

Bluebells at Alne Wood, Heart of England Forest
This Earth Day marks the 55th annual celebration of our planet. The first was organised by a senator and activist in 1970 to raise awareness on environmental issues. This eventually led to the creation of the Environmental Protection Agency in the USA.
Today, we have thousands of charities and organisations who dedicate their work to protecting and preserving the natural environment and wildlife who live there.
Natural ecosystems are integral to both the health of our planet and to the health of human beings. It must be protected at all costs to ensure a healthy and livable future for generations to come. This is why we are so proud to champion some incredible charities who are carrying out vital work in helping to protect the natural world.

Borneo Nature Foundation: work to protect some of the most important areas of tropical rainforest and to safeguard the wildlife, environment and indigenous culture on Borneo.
The Heart of England Forest: helping to reserve centuries of woodland decline by creating and conserving a huge broadleaf forest for the benefit of the environment, wildlife and people.
Bumblebee Conservation Trust: The Bumblebee Conservation Trust is a science-led, UK based charity established in 2006 because of serious concerns about the ‘plight of the bumblebee’. It is the only UK charity dedicated to conserving bumblebees.
Just One Ocean: their mission is to protect the ocean for future generations through science, education and communication. They work alongside other NGOs, governments and the local community to help develop and implement solutions to the problems oceans are facing.
Campaign for National Parks: they are the only independent charity dedicated to securing the future of National Parks in England and Wales. Their mission is clear: to unite, inspire and empower everyone to take action and to enjoy wilder National Parks.
Manta Trust: their vision is a sustainable future for the oceans, where Manta Rays and their relatives thrive in healthy, diverse marine ecosystems. There are 10 species of manta and devil rays found around the world - all of these species are now threatened with extinction.
