How WWF-UK unlocked an income stream whilst saving time and costs.
We think of Work for Good as an additional team member that doesn’t sit in our office. Just taking into account the staff time and cost that you are saving, it has been really beneficial.
About WWF-UK
WWF-UK is the world’s leading independent conservation organisation. Through programmes that span the areas of climate change, species and habitats, food and communities, they work to create a world where people and wildlife can thrive together.
The challenge
WWF-UK were experiencing an increase in small business owners wanting to fundraise for them through their sales. But the team felt they were not stewarding these small business supporters effectively.
The businesses were either too small for the corporate team to manage or the community team did not have enough capacity. This led to growing strain on internal resources, frustrations within the team and confusing messages to these potential long-term supporters.
The cost effective solution
To elevate the stewardship of these businesses and unlock potential passive income from sales fundraising, WWF-UK needed an efficient, cost effective process that worked for the fundraising team.
“The key benefit for us, which is wider than income, is that it provides one simple response that helps business owners give in the way that they want."
By referring these small business supporters via Work for Good, the charity provided efficient stewardship and the ability to unlock this income stream, all whilst saving staff time and costs.
The staff time has reduced, the responses to support were all streamlined and we were all happy with how it was working. And more importantly, we were raising income!
