About us

WONDER Foundation, Brixton based charity, was established in 2012 by young women from the belief that there was a more inclusive way to transform the lives of women around the world. Women’s Network for Development and Educational Resources (WONDER) empowers women and their communities to make informed choices about their future through education and mentoring programmes that they could exit poverty for good.

As a core of WONDER’s mission, we recognise education and knowledge as a fundamental human right allowing women and girls to lead the way in their personal development and be recognised as leaders in their families, communities and society.

To achieve our mission, we have partnered with female-led local projects relying on the knowledge of local experts to respond to the needs of the local communities creating sustainable growth. To date, we have supported 50,757 women and girls in 20 countries around the world. In the last year, 865 women and girls graduated from our programmes with recognised vocational training qualification, from which 98% entered formal employment or self-employment doubling their family income within six months.
