About us
Vision Aid Overseas is helping the world to see through innovative international projects that reach out to those in even the poorest and remotest of communities in Africa. Among the many project focus areas of our work, we operate a schools based eye health service, making sure that children are tested at their place of learning and in their local villages, and what's more, their teachers are trained to spot early signs of eye disease/problems. It is even possible for a company or donor to support a specific school. We do of course welcome gifts that support our general work which encompasses so much more and includes the development and support of Vision Centres, Training and Mentoring of eye health professionals and ensuring that affordable spectacles are available to those who need them the most, particularly those in inaccessible places who would otherwise have no way of accessing this type of support and by raising awareness.
Vision Aid Overseas currently works in Ghana, Sierra Leone, Zambia and Ethiopia.
