Fit For Future - Final Push

Fit For Future - Final Push

Ty Hafan, Wales leading children's charity and hospice opened its doors 21 years ago and has been a lifeline for children with life-limiting conditions and their families ever since. After more than two decades of being used 365 days a year and providing essential around-the-clock care to over 1000 children and families in Wales, the hospice needed essential refurbishment so that we can continue to help families for the next 20 years and beyond.

This year we have embarked on an ambitious refurbishment project to make our hospice fit for the future. We've raised most of the money we need but are short by £170,000 and desperately need your support to get us over the finishing line.

This refurbishment is not just a nice to have for Ty Hafan; it is vital to our service delivery. Children with life-limiting conditions are living longer because of the expert care available to them, so we need to keep pace with the changing world of healthcare and refurbish our equipment, facilities, and overall environment to meet increasingly complex demands.

A donation from you today will make a world of difference to children with life-limiting conditions and their families, both now and in the future.

Here are some key refurbishment elements we need donations for:

£30 - could go towards the decoration finishing touches for the social area

£60 - could pay for the height-adjusting work tops in the kitchenette. Giving young people valued independence

£100 - could go towards the cinema and gaming area in the Teenager high tech zone, giving them rare ‘normal’ teenager experiences. The voice controlled equipment will give control and independence to the young adults who can communicate verbally but may have physical difficulties.

£150 - could go towards sensory lighting in the hub, used during sensory and complimentary to help with pain relief and relaxation

£300 - could pay for furniture to finish a child’s bedroom

Please help however you can in this final push. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
