Baby Loss Awareness Week 2025

Join us this Baby Loss Awareness Week (9–15 October 2025) as we come together to remember all of the much-loved babies who died too soon.
Beginning initially as a national Baby Loss Awareness Day in 2002, Baby Loss Awareness Week has taken place every October in the UK since then. The week is a collaboration between a number of bereavement charities and aims to offer support, solidarity and comfort to everyone whose lives have been touched by the impact of pregnancy and baby loss.
As well as being a time to remember and reflect, many of our community also use the week to fundraise to support our work. We also share stories, resources and advice on our social media pages – if you feel able and would like to get involved throughout Baby Loss Awareness Week, make sure you’re following Tommy’s on Instagram, X, TikTok and Facebook.
You're not alone. We know this week will be difficult for many of you – but no matter what your experience, we see you and we're here for you.
We're here to support the 1 in 2 of us affected by baby loss each year.
We're here to guide you through your moments of uncertainty with specialist information and advice.
We're here to help people understand the scale and impact of baby loss so that no-one feels alone.
A year of saving babies' lives (2023/24)

Half of all adults in the UK have either experienced baby loss themselves or know someone who has. Tommy’s is here to change that, and we made some significant progress last year.
We know that the impact we’re making is only possible thanks to you, our wonderful supporters, fundraisers and partners. We're so grateful that you choose to support Tommy’s and work alongside us so that we can make these breakthroughs, drive change and save babies’ lives.
Our Year 2022: The difference YOU made

We might already be nearly six months in 2023 (how did that happen?!), but we wanted to share some of our key impacts that you have helped us to achieve in 2022 . In 2022 you made a huge difference to families across the UK by choosing to support Tommy's through your wonderful business. Our community of small businesses is so special to us here at Tommy's and we cannot do what we do without you!
We know it's not been easy for small businesses over the last few years and we are so grateful for your continued commitment to saving babies' lives. With you by our side we will keep working in 2023 to reduce inequalities, end avoidable baby loss, and give every family and their baby the safest possible pregnancy and birth.
