2022 Inaugural TSF Charity Rugby Match

On Saturday April 16^th 2022 we put on our inaugural TSF Charity Rugby Match, and what a day it was.

We were blown away by the support and are thrilled to report we raised over £5,000 from the day.

First and foremost, a massive shout out to the brave players who put on a performance that Ted would be immensely proud of - the day simply couldn’t have happened without you. A special thanks must also be extended to everyone at Monmouth Rugby Football Club - Wales for their assistance in establishing this legacy and for staging what we hope to be the first of many successful TSF rugby matches in the future. There are so many others to thank, including referee Richard Deacy, Crabtree Catering, photographer Gareth Roberts, physios (Mike and Jess), St John Ambulance, volunteers and many more. We appreciate all of you!

From a great game of rugby, to singing/dancing and lots of laughter, the whole day encapsulated everything Ted was about and we know he would have loved every minute of it.

About us

The Ted Senior Foundation is a registered UK charity championing good mental health and working to prevent suicide. We focus on three specific areas:

Ted’s Friends At TSF, we are firm believers that the power of sport can be harnessed to improve mental wellbeing, we have therefore partnered with various Universities to bring the Ted’s Friends support scheme to life. The scheme takes the form of a network of fully trained ambassadors, working together to improve the overall mental health of their respective sports clubs. Ted's Friends are offered first-class training in mental health first aid, and once fully trained they act as the go-to person for anyone in the sports club who is struggling with their mental health.

Good Mental Health We believe there is no health without mental health. By championing local and national events, and through social media campaigns, we aim to tackle stigma and promote a more open and empathic conversation on suicide and mental illness.

Bereavement Support Having lost someone close to all of us at the Ted Senior Foundation, we understand how devastating it can be to the family and friends who are left behind. We currently partner with existing charities, such as the Support After Suicide Partnership, to offer timely support to those bereaved or affected by suicide.
