Our student programmes create career opportunities for young people
We've published our impact report for last year, with highlights of our work and the difference we make.
12 months after graduating, 98% of SMF students are in full-time work or further education, 88% in highly skilled work. Through our programmes students broaden their horizons, unlock their potential and create opportunities to achieve their goals.

Futures Days help young people unlock their potential
We’ve been delivering our Futures Day events to talented young people across the UK.
Whether students are dreaming of a career in law, medicine, media or something else; we’re holding events to help them unlock their full potential .
Our Futures Day events provide students with the opportunity to:
✅ Learn about the various career options and routes into their chosen sector.
✅ Identify soft and hard skills required to succeed.
✅ Reflect on which roles might best suit their own skills and interests.
Here’s what our students said 👇
💬 “I enjoyed hearing about the different routes into certain roles, especially the apprenticeship application process.”
💬 “The breadth of roles, even within specific industry-focused companies, surprised me.”
University visits help young people broaden their horizons
People from all social backgrounds should have access to higher education. This year we’ve taken our students on visits to Oxford and Durham universities for academic taster sessions, campus tours and an insight into university life. All in pursuit of our mission: to unlock their potential, broaden their horizons and create opportunities.
