About us

We're on a mission to support every child facing cancer throughout the UK. Chemo Duck is a 12" soft toy duck provided to every Principal Treatment Centre & over 30 shared care hospitals by The Give A Duck Foundation. Siblings are not forgotten and receive a Huggable Hope duck, just like Chemo Duck but without a central line fitted.

We educate play specialists and medical staff to use Chemo Duck and Huggable Hope to enable children to feel more prepared and less scared about their journey with cancer.

Just £25 could fund a Chemo Duck for a child with cancer. £50 could fund a Chemo Duck and a Huggable Hope for their sibling.

Every month children get to choose a new outfit for their special companion, hand made with love by our amazing network of volunteer crafters at Blue Light Babies (Facebook Group) and Rivers Meet Chemo Duck Club in Rivers Meet Cafe, Methley, Leeds.

Families also receive a toy medical kit for their child to practice Dr's with their Chemo Duck, helping to releive anxiety and become more familiar with the routine medical procedures they will endure.
