Our small but mighty charity turns 30!

A celebration is coming…. In 2022, our small, but mighty charity turns 30! 30 years of life-changing literacy.

Could your company support our work in 2022  and help to transform the lives of more young children? We hope so! We believe there should be no barrier to education and with your help we can continue to bridge the literacy gap, and help children to catch up with their literacy, now and in the future.

The Covid pandemic has cast a long shadow over education: all the evidence shows it is disadvantaged children who have been most affected and at the greatest risk of being left behind. Yet in spite of a second disrupted year, we are proud that our impact data remains as impressive as ever, with the children we support making remarkable gains in reading and reading comprehension.  98 per cent of our Expert Literacy Lab Programme graduates closed or significantly narrowed their literacy gap; over two-thirds closed their reading age gap completely, gaining on average two years and six months in their reading age. For every one month of our tuition, a graduating child made on average over five months of progress in their reading.   Sign up through Work for Good to support our charity and get in contact to find out how your support can make a real difference to our vital work.
