About us
The Anne Robson Trust’s vision is to ensure every person receives the compassion, comfort, and companionship they wish for at the end of their life.
We are the only national charity in the UK to specialise in providing emotional support to people with a terminal diagnosis, and those caring for them.
- We work with hospitals to set up and train teams of volunteers to visit patients who are dying in hospital
- Our national helpline provides somewhere to turn to for anyone approaching the end of their life, and their loved ones, parents, friends and colleagues.
With hospital staff overstretched and unable to meet the emotional needs of their patients even with the best will in the world, we meet a key need for people wishing for emotional support at the end of their life -
- their hand is held.
- their favourite song is played for them softly.
- a faint smile as they are told yesterday’s match result.
What can we do with £5? When we equip a hospital to set up a volunteer team to visit patients at the end of their life, the cost to us works out at £5 per visit.
