The Anne Robson Trust

We believe no one deserves to die alone. We work with hospitals to set up and train teams of volunteers to provide companionship for patients at the end of their lives. Our helpline supports people who have received a terminal diagnosis, or are soon to lose a loved one.

MBE for Charity founder and CEO

Our Founder and CEO, Liz Pryor was awarded the Member of the British Empire Medal (MBE) at an Investiture Ceremony on Thursday 7th July, for services to end-of-life care. Liz was honoured by HRH Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge at Buckingham Palace.

The Honour marks a significant time for our charity as the focus on end-of-life care has been under the spotlight during the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2018, Liz set up the Anne Robson Trust, a charity in memory of her mother, with the aim of improving care for people who are dying, particularly for those who find themselves alone.

Liz said: “I am hugely honoured to receive an MBE. I set up the Trust to create something positive following my mother’s death twelve years ago, receiving this award is an important milestone in recognising how vital it is to offer emotional support to people who are dying and their loved ones.”
