The Africa Centre's 60th Anniversary Archival Exhibition is On!

The Africa Centre's 60^th Anniversary exhibition is still open!

Over 1,000 people have been to see this fantastic exhibition, which covers not just 60 years history of The Africa Centre, but also 1,815 years of the African presence in the UK! The exhibition includes coins celebrating Roman Emperor of the British Isles, Libyan-born Septimius Severus, and traces African history in the UK through to the founding of The Africa Centre, and its thriving over the last 6 decades.

We have had incredulous groups of school children, High Commissioners, Ministers, celebrities from the world of sport, film, music and visual arts visiting the exhibition so far. Please catch it while you can - on till 29^th April 2026 at The Africa Centre, 66-68 Great Suffolk Street, SE1 0BL.
