Now more than ever we are seeking sponsors for our vulnerable girls and boys living very challenging lives in the Indian slums. £25 per month will keep a child in education and ensure they take part in the full OSCAR Foundation programme. To mark the biggest annual day of charitable giving globally, the OSCAR Foundation is raising funds for disadvantaged Indian girls living in the Mumbai slums. Lack of equipment and facilities creates a huge barrier which stops girls from taking part in sporting activities. OSCAR engages girls and boys in education using football as the tool and has one simple rule, No School, No Football. The Covid pandemic has disproportionately affected the girls, who are under pressure to drop out of education and take up poorly paid manual labour. Donations will help keep them on track. Once they drop out it will be hard to engage them again....so we need to act now.
