We won Kent Community Charity of the Year 2022!

We are so proud to have won Community Charity of the Year 2022 at the recent Kent Charity Awards. It means a lot to us for the judges to recognise the passion, compassion, dedication, expertise and hard work of everyone in our organisation.

We are immensely proud and are truly thankful to the Kent Charity Awards for highlighting our cause and for helping us to reach out to more people across Kent who are experiencing domestic abuse.

The premier of 'Unstuck', a film on domestic abuse by G Town Talents

We were delighted to be approached by G Town Talents, a young people’s Hip Hop creative collective based in Gravesend, to collaborate on the premiere of a short film on Domestic Abuse.

Written by Bafta winning award screenwriter Anna Maloney, the film, titled ‘Unstuck’ (PG 15), tells the story of a young couple like many others. From the outside they appear to be normal and are seen happy together eating out and seeing friends and family. But behind the scenes lays a far darker reality which sees a campaign of psychological abuse turn the victim's life upside down.

The premieres were held at The Gulbenkian Theatre, University of Kent and The Woodville Gravesend, with members of Oasis staff on hand to talk about the issues raised in the film.
