About us
We are the only local hospice providing end of life care to people in the community suffering from a terminal illness and supporting carers and families. Nottinghamshire Hospice is a community facing hospice with no inpatient beds. All our care is provided in our patients’ homes supporting them (and their carers) to die in their preferred place of care – ‘at home’. Our care is regulated by the Care Quality Commission. Our last inspection was in February 2017 when our services were rated as GOOD. In 2020, we provided care to 1,805 patients – up from 1133 patients the previous year. We provided 33,813 hours of care in the community, we made 8,828 urgent or planned Hospice Night Support visits and the average length of stay in our Hospice in Your Home Service was 19 days.
