Thank you for your support of the Lord’s Taverners which continues to make a huge difference to the life changing work of the charity.

Our work with disadvantaged and disabled young people across the country has never been more vital and the impact of Covid-19 has left many of those we support isolated and even more alone.

Through lockdown we have been able to keep in contact with many of our participants with online activity as we look to support their mental well-being. However, this cannot replace the face-to-face weekly sessions to help fulfil potential and build life skills.

The impact of Covid-19 has left us without valuable income that you help raise by attending our events throughout the country. But we need to make sure we can continue to support the young people we work with and the thousands more who need help.

The Lord’s Taverners is the UK’s leading youth cricket and disability sports charity. We work across the UK and beyond to ensure that disadvantaged and disabled young people have access to free sport and all the benefits it can bring. Lord’s Taverners cricket programmes impacted the lives of a record 12,000 participants in the past year despite the Covid-19 pandemic – demonstrating our work to break down barriers and empower disadvantaged and disabled young people to fulfil their potential and build life skills has never been more vital.

This year’s impact report will reflect the curtailed and adapted activity in a year when we were on track to increase activity and benefit more participants across all cricket programmes. Despite losing months of physical activity, awareness raising and taster sessions, we delivered our programmes to more participants than ever before.

With continuing COVID related uncertainty, it is impossible to predict what activity in the next year will look like.
