About us
We established Larsen’s Pride in 2021, inspired by the brilliance and bravery of five-year-old Larsen and his love for big cats. Just like a lion, Larsen was brave and courageous throughout his brain tumour diagnosis and treatment. And just like a lion’s pride, we are a family, together, providing courage and comfort to other children (age 0-12) facing this indiscriminate disease. Brain tumours are indiscriminate. This means that there is no reason why they occur in children, but they do. In fact, brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and yet, so little is known about them. 88% of people with a brain tumour diagnosis die within 5 years. Treatment can be brutal, there is no child friendly option. Larsen’s big cats bring comfort and friendship to these children. They provide a warm cuddle when it is most needed. We also support projects to improve the quality of life of children with a brain tumour.
