#HockeyMadeMe Relaunch Update
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported Hockey Futures in the past few weeks as we relaunched with our #HockeyMadeMe campaign.
We wanted to hear how hockey has had a positive influence on so many people and we weren't disappointed! It was fantastic to see how hockey has shaped and supported so many, as Tess Howard, the GB and England squad member so passionately explains.
And why are we asking about how #HockeyMadeMe? Its because it is precisely what we want to do with our programmes - use hockey and provide opportunities for young people who face multiple hardship. To give young people employment opportunities as well as the chance to pick a stick.
We're thrilled to have so many people get in touch to offer support, share their stories or make a much valued donation: together, we can use hockey for good and help more young people. We look forward to telling you more about our projects in 2022.
#HockeyMadeMe
Whether our hockey is played indoors on a carpet in a community centre, outdoors on a car park or grass field, we are all about using hockey for good.
‘Hockey Futures hockey’ will be whatever standard the young people want it to be. If walking hockey is more their pace, that’s what we’ll do. All girls – no problem. Coaching or umpiring rather than playing – we’ll make that happen.
Because Hockey Futures hockey focusses on personal development, positive mental health as well as targeting children and young people to get active. Enabling hockey to be a tool in having fun, feeling safe, knowing you belong, being part of a team. And for young adults, leading to paid employment.
Our relaunch is all about asking you to share you memories of hockey. What positive impact did hockey have on you growing up, because we want to use hockey to enable more young people to benefit from these positive experiences?
Simply visit any of our socials and add you memory, and tag 3 hockey mates to do the same #HockeyMadeMe #SpreadTheWord
