About us

We’re Gordon Moody, and we’re on a mission to ensure that those most severely affected by gambling addiction can access the treatment and support they need to reclaim and rebuild their lives. For more than 50 years we’ve been raising awareness of gambling-related harm and, delivering high quality, innovative treatment and support.

Nearly 80% of people that come to us for support have already tried other treatment options; for many Gordon Moody represents their last chance. Gambling addiction severely impacts the quality of life, and mental health is a huge issue; 3 in 4 of our service users have a diagnosed mental health issue and, 1 in 2 have attempted suicide or are self-harming.

We're based in Dudley in the West Midlands and have treatment programmes operating from Dudley, Wolverhampton, Beckenham (Kent) and Manchester as well as providing online support. Our services are available to anyone in the UK and include brief interventions/advice, Retreat and Counselling programmes, intensive Residential Treatment Centres, Recovery Housing and wraparound support providing pre and post-treatment support. We also deliver support groups for ‘affected others’, recognising the wider impact of gambling addiction on family, friends and colleagues.

Our outcomes are second to none. The specialist PGSI clinical tool (measuring severity of problematic gambling), shows service users in our residential treatment programmes experience improvements that are 50% better than national averages reported by UK National Gambling Treatment Services.

Let's tackle gambling addiction together.
