Dyslexia Scotland

Dyslexia Scotland aims to inspire and enable people with dyslexia, regardless of age and abilities, to reach their potential in education, employment and life. Based in Stirling, we have a network of volunteer-led branches across Scotland. We offer a range of high-quality services and support, influence positive change and give dyslexic people an individual and collective voice.

About us

There are more than half a million people with dyslexia in Scotland, yet many of them feel completely alone.

All over Scotland, people with dyslexia are struggling in classrooms, held back in their careers, and missing out on life chances because society hasn't fully recognised the brilliance that dyslexic minds can offer.

Dyslexia Scotland is leading the charge for people with dyslexia, bringing the community together with changemakers to create a movement towards a dyslexia-friendly Scotland, where the dyslexic community can work together with every sector in Scotland to achieve an equal, inclusive society that values its dyslexic minds.

We champion the rights of people with dyslexia in Scotland who so often feel left behind in education, work and community life.

When you donate to us, you are contributing to an organisation that makes a difference, and you're becoming an active part of a positive movement for a more inclusive society where people with dyslexia can realise their full, amazing potential. We can't do it without you.

Here are some examples of what your donations could fund:

  • A national dyslexia Helpline
  • Dyslexia Voice magazine design and print
  • Specialist tutoring for children, young people and adults
  • Free dyslexia assessments for adults
  • Awareness training
