We read and transcribe text to audio Talking Newspapers for those who are blind, have a sight impairment or another condition that prevents them from reading newspapers. We do this everyday with the help of volunteers so that people get to listen to our Free Talking Newspapers service.

About us

We are a small charity that relies on volunteers to read and transcribe text to audio so that people who are blind, have a sight impairment or another condition that prevents them from reading can listen to our Talking Newspapers. We read three national (The National, The Glasgow Times and The Herald) and one local (The Kirkintilloch Herald) every working day. Our service is completely free of charge and reaches listeners all over Scotland via a free app, a smart speaker or USB stick.
