Coram’s Fields

Coram's Fields is a 7-acre park and playground in central London for children and young people. We provide essential facilities and services for our community. Our open #green space is a vital resource in our densely populated local community, and our key services help to ensure that local children and young people have the best possible start in life.

About us

Established in 1936 on the site of the former Foundling Hospital in south Camden, Coram’s Fields’ aim is to be the go-to place for children and young people, widely known for the outstanding quality of our facilities and services, the diversity of our programmes and our responsiveness in meeting the needs of our local community.

The first way we support our community is by providing an array of engaging, recreational, and educational resources, which bring joy to thousands of children, young people, and their families. At Coram’s Fields, over seven-acres, you will find: a park, playgrounds, animal area, wildlife garden and sports pitches.

The second is through our services. We deliver and adapt services to support children and young people across all ages at key junctures in their lives - from first steps through to first jobs - with a natural progression between one service and the next, ensuring that at whichever stage of development a young person is at, they will be able to find support at Coram’s Fields. Our services support the mental and physical health of local young people and promote social cohesion in our community which faces multiple levels of disadvantage.

Our services comprise:
Under 5’s Drop-In service - providing essential support for parents/carers of children below five years of age through a range of open access activities and specialist support programmes; Nursery – providing high quality, full-time childcare for local parents of 2-5 year olds; Out of School Club – providing high quality, Ofsted approved, after school and holiday childcare for parents of 4-12 year olds; Sports Programme – delivering a comprehensive structured programme of free sports sessions for young people aged 4-18 years throughout the term time and holiday periods on our state-of-the-art sports facilities; Youth Programme – our Youth Centre is a safe space, delivering an extensive variety of free, universal and targeted services for young people aged 8-19 years, including life-changing #employment and #education support.
