How we are supporting veterans During the Covid-19 pandemic
The single most important action we can all take, in fighting Coronavirus, is to stay at home to protect the NHS and save lives. As experts in mental health, we wanted to share our specialist knowledge to help everyone manage their own mental health while at home.
We are also working extremely hard to continue to provide our vital mental health services to former servicemen and women. In light of recent government advice, we have taken steps to protect the health and safety of veterans and our staff and have implemented the following:
Veteran treatment and support:
Our therapists and peer support service across the country are moving from face-to-face appointments to phone or Skype appointments so veterans can continue to receive our specialist support.
We host webinars to help and support partners – we plan for these to continue.
We are seeking ways to extend our Art Therapy online.
And finally, our 24-hour Helpline remains open to provide confidential advice and support to veterans and their families.
If you know someone or are in need help yourself please pass on or call our 24-hour Helpline for support: 0800 138 1619
