About us
What could your donation deliver?
Here are a few examples:
- £10 could pay for a top up food parcel for a vulnerable person in Brixton struggling due to the pandemic
- £25 could buy a goat for one of our animal rearing self-help groups in Ghana
- £50 could deliver a group mentoring session in a school for Brixton students at risk of exclusion
If you'd like your donation to go a particular area of our work, feel free to let us know!
More about our projects
From Cyprus to Northern Ireland, The Philippines to India, Uganda to Ghana and Tottenham to Brixton, we live among the communities we serve, taking time to understand everybody’s perspective and working together in very practical ways to build trust and hope. Peacemaking requires patience!
Our two current projects are based in Brixton and Ghana
Brixton is bursting with energy, but it’s also a community struggling with inequality and serious youth violence. Since 2014, we’ve been working with young people and their families to break the cycle of violence and help build a brighter, more peaceful future. In Northern Ghana, opposing tribes have been enemies for more than 30 years. Since 2011, we’ve been living and working among both sides, delivering practical projects that address the root causes of tension, bring opposing sides together and help to build new, positive relationships. More about us
We are Christians, serving the whole community from all backgrounds - and from all faiths or none! Inspired by the life of Jesus, we have four deeply held beliefs that underpin all we do:
WE ONLY GO WHERE WE ARE INVITED. We believe that we should only go where people want us. Peace cannot be opposed upon communities in conflict. WE LIVE IN THE HEART OF THE CONFLICT. We know we must live among the communities we serve, if we are to understand their challenges and work together to overcome them. WE TAKE SIDES. BOTH SIDES. We take time to understand everyone’s perspective, and help them build new, positive relationships. WE’RE HERE TO STAY. We know that making a long-term commitment to communities in conflict is the only way to build sustainable, lasting peace.
