Step into September

Step into September

Stepping Up Against Bullying

Taking place throughout September, ‘Step Into September’ is for walkers/runners of all ages and all abilities who want to raise vital funds and awareness to help those affected by bullying behaviour.

You can take part wherever you live!

Join hundreds of people up and down the country (and some from abroad) who are Stepping into September to enable BulliesOut to continue to be there for those who need us.

This is your challenge, so whether you want to achieve 55,000 steps (25 miles), 110,000 steps (50 miles), or 220,000 steps (100 miles), this is the event for you! (Steps calculated with the miles to steps online calculator). You can choose to walk so many steps a day for 30 days, or take on your own walks and hikes throughout the month, whatever you decide, you set the pace. If you want to walk more or less, that’s entirely up to you.

Every step you take will enable us to continue to be there for those affected by bullying behaviour. Whether your school would like to use the month to encourage children to walk to and from school or spend their free time going on walks with their whole family… Or your workplace can encourage lunchtime walks, walking to work or ask employees to walk on their own or together outside of work time… Or maybe you would just like to take on this challenge alone.

There is no registration fee and no set amount to raise – by Stepping into September together, we can #MakeADifference to the lives of those affected by bullying behaviour.

Jar of Confidence Workshop

Jar of Confidence Workshop

Confidence is not something that can be learned like a particular subject or set of rules. Confidence is a state of mind and is linked to self-esteem. Self-esteem reflects an individual’s overall subjective emotional evaluation of his or her own worth. It is the positive or negative decision made by an individual as an attitude towards the self.

Many young people have low self-esteem and this impacts on their confidence. During our Jar of Confidence Creative Workshop, we discuss how bullying affects self-esteem and confidence and using engaging activities, we identify what makes you confident on the inside and the outside. We challenge negative self-talk, explore ways to improve self-esteem and confidence and using their own creativity, young people decorate their own Jar of Confidence and fill it with positive quotes and messages.

Anti Bullying Week 2022

November 14th - 18th 2022 is Anti-Bullying Week and this year's theme is Reach Out. We are already fully booked to deliver our work in schools that week and we will also be running the School Staff Awards Wales. We successfully launched this last year and are hoping to see it grow and grow.
