About us

The BBKA educates and trains beekeepers of the future and supports vital research.

Honeybees face several threats from climate change, loss of forage, the use of pesticides as well as pests and diseases. We need your help to finance research into how we can combat these threats.

The BBKA works hard to raise the profile of beekeeping amongst young people through its schools programme and Junior certificates to ensure the next generation will be well equipped to do the important work we urgently need to continue.

We need your help to turn the apiary at our headquarters in Stoneleigh into a demonstration centre where visitors learn about the magic of bees and all pollinators. Much work has already been completed but this is an ongoing project.
