About us

Our Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project helps families on low incomes to buy fresh fruit and veg and supports them in giving their children the healthiest possible start.

A family receives £4 of Rose Vouchers for each child every week, or £6 if the child is under one year old. We work with fantastic market traders in London, Liverpool, Barnsley and Glasgow, where the vouchers can be spent on a great selection of fruit and veg. Rose Vouchers give families the choice to buy the fruit and veg they want and need.

By working with the market traders, the project also benefits local markets, helping to encourage regular trade and maintaining local markets as important sources of healthy, low-cost food at the heart of local communities meaning everyone in the local area benefits.

To support families on the Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project to engage with existing activities focused on health and wellbeing in their local area, the distribution of the Rose Vouchers is based at children’s centres. Staff at children’s centres recruit those families that stand to benefit most from the project due to their susceptibility to food poverty, dietary-related health issues or other risk factors.

Thanks to the dedicated staff across all the children’s centres we work with, over the last nine years, over 9,500 families have been able to access more fruit and veg in their communities. With your support, we will be able to help many more.
