About us
We opened our doors to the public in 2017, and became a registered charity in 2021 knowing that we could make a difference to our community. We believe no-one should go to bed hungry, and no-one should have to choose between heating and eating! We are a very small charity with a big heart and big goals and so far in 2022, from just 1 of our collection partners we have made a total of 73 food collections. This translates into 14847.0 kg of food or the equivalent of 40,300 meals!
That is just from ONE of our partners.
We also run our own foodbank, have our own community café, run a free community lounge (that has become so well attended we actually ran out of chairs for people), and offer free emotional and wellbeing sessions. We are firm believers that community is a collective all pulling in the same direction, we help you as you help us!
We have a very strong social media presence and are very active in engaging the community. We currently have over 11,000 followers on Facebook, 2600 on Twitter, 1000 on Instagram, and over 2500 on LinkedIn. We believe that 2-wayy communication is vital to our success and love to interact and meet new people.
