About us

Our story started in 2016 when our founder Ellie’s love for art & textiles motivated her to design a go-to British lifestyle brand. Ellie noticed a lack of bold & fun casual wear and so our signature colour block designs were born. Sustainability has always been at the heart of everything we do, with organic & eco-friendly fabrics being used throughout the range. The aim has always been to produce long-lasting, quality casual wear that can be worn season to season. As the brand became popular amongst University students and Made In Chelsea stars, the business soon outgrew the small office in Ellie’s family home to a new office space and warehouse in West Acre, Norfolk.

Over the years we have worked closely with Mind supporting mental health. This has been a charity close to Ellie’s heart having had close friends suffer with their mental health. It was important for her that Whale Of A time worked with a charity she truly believed in and “were doing great & necessary work”. As a charity, Mind has been extremely important in their work with raising awareness and encouraging people to discuss, open up and get help.

In aid of World Mental Health Day on the 10th October we are proud to be launching our Limited Edition Arnoux Quarter Zip, designed in various shades of blue in keeping with Mind’s colours. 100% of the profits from this product will be donated to Mind through ‘Work For Good’ throughout the month of October.
