About us
The hospital depends on charitable support to give seriously ill children the chance of a better future. GOSH Charity exists to go above and beyond what the NHS can provide, ensuring the hospital remains at the forefront of paediatric care and research.
GOSH Charity funds four key areas within the hospital:
-
Child and family support; investing in services which raise children’s spirits and ease the burden on families
-
Pioneering research; supporting world-leading scientists to find the diagnoses, treatments and cures of tomorrow
-
Advance medical equipment; funding cutting-edge kit to address the hospital’s most urgent needs
-
Rebuilding and refurbishment; creating flexible, future-proofed facilities designed around children and young people
Donating just £12 – the price of an average Uber fare - could fund an hour’s production of specialist cells for use in cell therapy treatments.
Donating £59 could pay for a day’s worth of musicians, artists and performers through the GOSH Arts programme, helping to keep patients and their families relaxed, engaged, distracted and able to switch off from being in hospital.
Donating £110 – the average family spend on chocolate each year - could fund a member of the multi-faith chaplaincy team for one day, providing spiritual care and support to patients, families and staff at the hospital.
Donating £130 – the same cost as just one cup of coffee every week for a year - could pay for everything a play team member needs for one day. Through play, these GOSH superheroes ensure children feel in control, calm, informed about what’s happening, and most importantly, able to be children.
A better future for seriously ill children starts with GOSH Charity.
