Every 15 minutes in the UK, someone has their world turned upside down as they’re told, ‘you have bowel cancer.’ That’s almost 42,000 people a year. Bowel cancer is the UK’s second biggest cancer killer with more than 16,000 people dying from the disease every year. However, it shouldn’t be as it’s treatable and curable especially if diagnosed early.
Bowel Cancer UK is the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We’re determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer by championing early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care. We will achieve this through enabling and funding research, providing information and support to patients and their families, educating the public and professionals about the disease and campaigning for early diagnosis and best treatment and care for all.
We’re bringing people together-patients, families and friends, doctors and nurses, scientists and everyone fundraising for us to create a future where nobody dies from bowel cancer. Your support will help us fund vital services and lifesaving research to stop people dying from this devastating disease which is likely to have already touched the lives of colleagues, clients, friends and family or may do so in the future.
