About us

Spotlight UK provides free youth activities and emotional and practical support working with between 500-600 children each week. We work across Hampshire and Berkshire.

We work to increase confidence, self esteem, improve mental wellbeing and social interaction.

We work with children from all backgrounds providing a safe environment to have fun and be themselves and create new memories. We become the safety net for when things do not go right in a child's life including issues with bullying, teenage issues, gang culture, and trauma. In particular we support service families who currently serving in the military, children and young people who are vulnerable and disadvantaged including young carers, children in care, children at risk of sexual exploitation, children with mental health issues, children affected by domestic abuse, children who have lost parents or siblings or who have a parent in prison or a parent with mental health issues or affected by drug/alcohol abuse, children from low income families. We receive referrals from schools, Early Help Hubs, Social Workers, Family Support Service and other professionals.

We provide:- • Fun low cost or free activities including drama, dance, singing, youth clubs, arts & craft, after school clubs, support groups and sports which act as respite • 1-2-1 Mentoring, Early Intervention and Emotional support for vulnerable young people including support for teenagers who are at risk of sexual exploitation, or who have mental health issues including those who are self harming or have eating disorders, or have anxiety issues or who have behavioural issues including getting caught up with anti social behaviour crime or drug/alcohol abuse. * Food Bank and clothes bank/toy bank * Intergenerational Projects where young people go in to visit elderly people in care homes to help reduce isolation, learn from each other, reduce isolation and loneliness. * Christmas presents and food hampers * Mental health care packs for children and adults when people are struggling with their mental health * Family Support offering emotional support especially for service families * Parent and toddler groups.
