About us

Did you know that 87% of the nearly 840 million people without energy live in rural areas?

Achieving universal access to safe, clean energy will require innovative and collaborative solutions. It is not enough to rely on traditional energy service providers to reach those most in need – we must creatively mix both on-grid and off-grid solutions.

At Renewable World, we specialise in developing and deploying effective ways of bringing off-grid renewable energy solutions to the most remote and underserved communities, empowering them to achieve sustainable and resilient lives.

We don’t just implement innovative renewable technologies. We work alongside communities through our award-winning Community Centred Model.

Here's how your donation could help: - £10 could give a fisherman living on the shores of Lake Victoria access to solar power for a year, allowing them to refrigerate their fish and demand a fair price. - £25 could provide two families in Nepal with access to solar-pumped water for a year, available from a tap stand located right outside their home. - £50 could pay for the wiring and fittings needed for a house to receive electricity for the first time from a community owned and managed solar microgrid.
