About us

We offer low cost 1:1 therapeutic yoga sessions to children and young adults with additional and complex needs. Our therapeutic yoga treatments are open to all families including those with Autism, Down's syndrome, Epilepsy, Learning Disability, Hemiplegia, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, wheelchair users and many more.

We offer a unique therapeutic yoga method that has changed the lives of countless children around the world!

The practice is gentle, therapeutic and yet very effective. Classes consist of an integrated series of balanced yoga poses to increase body awareness and strength. Specialised breathing exercises, eye exercises and relaxation techniques improve focus and concentration. Vocal work improves speech, strengthens lungs and deeply oxygenates the whole entire body. Yoga for the Special Child is also a fantastic early intervention program that can assure the healthy formative development of infants and toddlers.

The benefits of regular yoga practice specifically for children with special needs are countless including; improved behaviour, emotional balance and ability to transition from one activity to another, improved breathing, improved motor and muscular function, lower anxiety levels, better coordination and communication skills.

We work with 100 families from our centre in North London serving families from across the South East. We offer subsidies for the lowest income families ensuring our classes remain accessible. We also run regular adult yoga classes to supplement our income.

We are open to all donations and partnerships and thank you for taking the time to read this overview!
