Our inspiration: Ottie’s story
“We all like to think our children are one in a million. In Ottie's case, it's more like one in two billion. She was born 10 weeks premature, weighing less than 3 lbs and with two rare genetic conditions, that affect both her bones and her heart.
Ottie has battled meningitis, overcome septicaemia and survived major reconstructive surgery to her oesophagus. She has already spent more time in hospital than a typical family spends in a lifetime, but she keeps on smiling and battling on.
Seeing our daughter on intensive care left us feeling helpless and desperate to do something to support the people to whom we owe her life. Ottie receives treatment at the Evelina London Children's Hospital and the care she receives from the doctors, nurses and everyone involved is fantastic.
Ottie is an inspiration and a joy and she has gifted us the opportunity, with your help, to make a real difference to thousands of good causes.”
