About us

Southern Brooks is a Community Anchor organisation operating across South Gloucestershire dedicated to empowering people and communities to fulfil their potential. We deliver community-led solutions designed to reduce poverty, isolation and loneliness.

We have also been at the forefront of the local Covid-19 emergency response, helping thousands of people through a helpline service, food and prescription deliveries and wellbeing support.

We support people who are consistently and systematically excluded due to low incomes, poor health and lack of academic qualifications. Support is available through our services to people of all ages and backgrounds. These include some of the largest and most effective health & wellbeing, education & training, and sustainable community programs in the county. Our projects target gaps in existing service delivery, and our in-depth knowledge of our community means we our projects can reach people that would otherwise be excluded from support. This includes youth work, wellbeing services, employment support, social prescribing, and volunteer and community engagement.
