Through its initiatives the Appeal works to support businesses to create an inclusive, healthy, skilled and fair city, and raise money for its charity partners; Place2Be, OnSide Youth Zones, Samaritans and The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

About us

Launched in 2015, City Giving Day is The Lord Mayor’s Appeal’s annual celebration of philanthropy and giving.

It provides a perfect chance for businesses and their employees to think about and celebrate all they do for charities and their local communities.

This year that will be more important than ever, and the day itself (Tuesday 22nd September) will be the ideal opportunity to reflect back on the last few months and applaud the way businesses and their employees have come together to support each other, their communities and, of course, frontline workers.
