About us

We are the national charity working to improve the lives of patients and families affected by genetic, rare and undiagnosed conditions and an alliance of over 200 patient organisations.

We are home to Rare Disease UK – the national campaign – and SWAN UK (syndromes without a name), providing support to over 2000 families.A donation to Genetic Alliance UK will increase our ability to empower patients and patient organisations to transform the daily lives and future prospects of people affected by rare, genetic and undiagnosed conditions.

Genetic Alliance UK is the national charity working to improve the lives of patients and families affected by all genetic, rare and undiagnosed conditions. We are an alliance of over 200 patient organisations. Your donation will allow us to:

develop and promote policies that improve the lives of people living with genetic, rare and undiagnosed conditions work with parliamentarians across the UK to connect them with our community and inform them of our needs upskill our patient organisation members in key skills including advocacy, governance, fundraising and research produce evidence of the experience of people living with genetic, rare and undiagnosed research with our in house research team run SWAN UK (syndromes without a name), our support network for families of children and young adults with undiagnosed genetic conditions in the UK run our Rare Disease UK campaign which works with UK governments to ensure a strategic approach to rare disease.
